Phase I (the Market Square) of this prestigious mixed use development included the construction of 117 apartments, and 26 retail units built in seven individually designed buildings, centred around a High Street. Other facilities provided include a Village Hall, Public Library, Medical Centre and 5,300ft2 of commercial office space.
The design incorporates many different classical features. Our project management and supply chain skills integrated traditional craft skills and modern production methods and materials to provide a stylish, attractive and cost effective environment for businesses and residents. The façades are ornately detailed and comprise traditional masonry with brick and wet cast stone arches. Further features are provided by GRP cornice details, stone render, balconies, terraces and a combination of aluminium shop fronts and UPVC windows.
Phase II (the Waterside) involved the construction of a further 140 apartments and 16 retail units, built in seven individually designed buildings around a central water feature and cascad,e leading directly into the tranquil Birmingham to Stratford canal.
All apartments were completed to a very high standard and feature fully fitted kitchens with appliances, bathrooms, en-suites and gas central heating.
