Janssen wanted to expand their existing facility in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork and implement large-scale fed batch technology, the first of its kind in Ireland and for Johnson & Johnson globally.
The expansion involved the construction of new buildings with a total floor space of almost 20,000 sqm. It also included expansion of the existing warehouse, laboratory administration buildings, support infrastructure and utilities.

A comprehensive EHS programme was tailored to the project which was very successful as we had in excess of 3.2 million manhours accident free, and no environmental or business interruption issues.

Supporting Women in STEM
Sisk in partnership with I WISH (Inspiring Women in Stem) and Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) organised for 40 female transition year (TY) students from all over County Cork to visit the Sisk Construction Site at Janssen Sciences Ireland UC.

Field of Dreams
Seeking to add to the community the project Construction Management Team of Janssen (Client), PM Group (Designer) and Sisk joined forces to volunteer at the “Field of Dreams” facility outside Ballincollig in County Cork which provides a learning and social environment for young adults with Down Syndrome.
Over a three year plan the project will complete footpaths around the facility and construct a new fruit garden. This social project has been extremely well received by the operating team at the Field of Dreams and the level of volunteering by all parties is to be commended.
