Tuesday 11th May 2021:          Following a rigorous assessment process, John Sisk & Son has just achieved an Investors in Diversity Silver award. The accolade, from the Irish Centre for Diversity, means that Sisk is fully committed to diversity as an organisation and the award is valid for two years.

Assessment took place between December 2020 and March 2021 and is based on a number of criteria, including feedback from staff. It also shows that we are living our values, as we strive to create an inclusive working environment where everyone can do their best work. The collective strength of everyone’s capability is what makes a successful organisation, which is why you will continue to see a lot about Equality Diversity and Inclusion over the coming months.

Maura Toles, Company Secretary and Chief Legal Officer, John Sisk & Son said: “I am delighted in our achievement of Silver status in the Investors in Diversity as this is a subject that I am passionate about. We have made huge advances in recognising that we are all unique and that there is value in hearing from diverse points of view.

"As we move forward to make our company more inclusive, I am confident the benefits will be significant. As we emerge from this phase of the pandemic, it is more important than ever that we listen to our colleagues, challenge ourselves to find the best way to continue to deliver excellence for our clients and partners and demonstrate our values to all our colleagues.”

Paul Brown, COO, UK Construction and Civil Engineering, John Sisk & Son added: “This represents an important milestone for the business on our diversity journey, gaining third-party accreditation to support the improvements we have made in recent years. It provides a baseline picture of where we are today but more importantly sets the foundation from which we want to make further tangible improvements. I am delighted with this recognition but the hard work continues as we aim to deliver the commitments made in our recently launched Sustainability Roadmap.”
