Monday 23 November 2020:             John Sisk & Son is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Cook as UK Sector Lead – Data Centres, who will spearhead operational delivery for data centres throughout the UK. Andy’s comprehensive, construction industry experience, spans 30 years with the past seven years directly involved in data centre delivery for hyper-scale operators particularly in Belgium, Holland, Finland and Denmark. Andy’s experience includes data centres up to £600m in construction value, for international clients, including procurement and management of all major vendor equipment.

With this appointment Sisk continues to build on its years of mission critical expertise in data centres and to add to its UK capability to meet the needs of both hyper-scale and co-location operators across England, Wales and Scotland and their requirements to have a trusted partner. Sisk brings a unique market offering and highly skilled and integrated CSA/MEP teams who understand the reliability requirements in the delivery of data centres.

During the last decade, Sisk has built over 30 mission critical facilities across Europe and continues to construct large data centre facilities, with projects currently under construction in Ireland and mainland Europe, for major international clients. Andy will be working closely with the dedicated Data Centre Team in Ireland and Europe to leverage their experience and network in meeting the needs of UK clients. The business has regularly delivered data centre campus environments with power capacity up to 160MW critical load. Sisk takes a flexible approach to procurement forms whether GC Management, CM, Program Management, Design and Build, turnkey or traditional and will continue to work with existing design teams, supply chain partners and equipment suppliers that have the same beliefs and energy as Sisk to deliver excellence, as well as continuing to build relationships with new partners in the industry.

In addition to this senior appointment Sisk is also expanding its office network in the UK to better serve its clients. The company has recently moved in to office space in Central London in Farringdon and also engaged a long term project office in Leeds, reflecting the amount of work currently in Leeds and the significant pipeline of opportunities. These offices are in addition to the company’s main regional bases in St Albans, Solihull, Warrington and Bristol.
