CARPENTRY AND JOINERY APPRENTICESHIP
Established over 40 years ago, The John G Sisk Training Centre trains skilled young apprentices in carpentry and joinery to a professional level.Consistently recognized in awards at a national level, the 4 year apprenticeship course entails periods of full-time study, practical workshop experience and exposure to the construction site environment as you work towards a Fetac Advanced Certificate Level 6 in Carpentry and Joinery.
Many of our leading site agents, foremen and site managers are graduates of this centre. We specialize in the production of high quality bespoke units to architectural specification, in addition to doors and frames, fire door sets, screens, panels, stairs and moulded handrails.
We have supplied a full range of joinery to projects including The National Convention Centre, Aviva Stadium, The Grand Canal Theatre, the rebuilding of the Teak House at the National Botanic Gardens Glasnevin and the Mater Adult Hospital. Despite all this work, every December staff and craftsmen give their time and energy to build traditional wooden toys for the distribution to hospitals, schools, homes and orphanages.
Interviews are annaully held during September with a view to starting in October/November the same year.
