The reconfiguration and refurbishment of Wembley Arena, London’s primary live music venue, offers improved facilities for its customers and promoters. The venue has since been awarded the accolade of Best International Arena.
The arena layout has been reversed with the main entrance now opening onto an exciting new public square and providing the new stage with a covered service yard. The larger capacity arena provides up to 12,200 seats, nine large dressing rooms, hospitality suites, promoter offices, a 200 seat restaurant, and ten bars and fast food outlets.
The Grade II listed building was originally constructed in 1934 for the Empire Games and the £33m project was the first phase of our long term relationship with Quintain on the £3.8bn regeneration of the Wembley area, consisting of residential, retail, hotel and student accommodation schemes.
If ever there was a project in which we could point to examples of strong leadership, brave decisions, effective collaboration and the old fashioned concepts of trust and integrity, then this is it.
Your entire team rose to the challenge of a tight timetable and demanding specifications to bring this project in on time and budget.David Crump - Quintain Estates & Development Ltd – Wembley Arena
