John Sisk & Son carried out the design and construction of a six-storey new office building on the site of the former Bristol Steiner Waldorf School.
The project involved the careful demolition of the old school building, located adjacent to a Grade II listed Cathedral. The challenging ground conditions necessitated the use of 199 piles and 32 rock anchors to preserve the 19th Century Cathedral building situated above the site.
The 31,000 ft2 office building has been constructed with an in-situ concrete frame, with structural steelwork on the top floor. We designed the building to be attractive to commercial tenants. The accommodation is open plan and flexible in layout and is suited to a wide range of occupier's needs with fully accessible raised access flooring and suspended ceilings featuring LG3 lighting to provide a more comfortable and productive working environment.
St Catherine’s Court is the first BREEAM Excellent rated office building in Clifton and has an EPC B rating ensuring both energy and cost efficiency, and reflecting its exceptional environmental credentials.
The building has 14 secure basement parking spaces plus off site parking.
