Support in Communities

For many years the SISK Group have played an important, but low profile, role on matters of social responsibility. The most notable example in recent years is our volunteering programme which was launched as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations in 2009. Nearly 400 employees volunteered their time to work on projects in their local communities and abroad to help the lives of those who are less privileged.

The Community Volunteering Programme continues to make an impact in the communities we work in and the structures put in place through the Anniversary year programme are enabling business as usual to be carried on whilst also keeping the spirit of the programme alive.

This programme enables the company to use the skills and experience from across the organisation to benefit our partnering community organisations and to provide our employees with the opportunity to reach out to the communities we work in.

The cross company working group continue to meet on a regular basis to co-ordinate the programme. Projects are being managed locally within each company through their volunteer coordinator.
