    Construction Safety Week is from 23rd – 27th of October 2017 and Sisk have partnered with the CIF to raise the awareness of health, safety and wellbeing by the industry for the industry.  Sisk has raised the bar and made a commitment to do whatever it takes to achieve “Zero Incidents, Zero Injuries” on all our sites and by doing so, we protect our people and give all those that work for us the best possible working environment in which to work.  
  • Sisk and BDP welcome Great Ormond Street Hospital Project win

    The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) recently announced that John Sisk & Son Ltd with BDP Ltd have been selected as the preferred prime contractor with multi-disciplinary design team for Phase 4 of the Redevelopment Programme at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) in London.  
  • Sisk crowned the Best Main Contractor to Work With at the 2017 Construction Enquirer awards

    Attracting more votes from our supply chain partners, clients and other stakeholders within the industry, Sisk beat off fierce competition from a number of tier 1 contractors, to receive the  Best Main Contractor to Work With (over £250m) accolade at the awards night on October 10th.   This award recognises Sisk as one of the industry’s best companies to do business with. And we would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who voted!
  • Congrats to our Gold Medal Winning Construction Manager

    We are pleased to report that one of our UK based team, Ger Hayes, was awarded the Gold Medal in the CIOB Construction Manager of the Year Award Ceremony on Wednesday 27th at an event in London. He was successful in the Residential Category for the Emerald Gardens project at Wembley which completed in October 2016. This is a prestigious, highly competitive award and is a great personal achievement for Ger.

  • Taoiseach visits major Sisk Pharma Project during Netherlands visit

    Thursday 7 January 2016: The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD, today visited a major John Sisk & Son Construction Project in the Netherlands which involves collaboration between three Irish companies to design and build a major development for international pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson.   John Sisk & Son are the Construction Managers for the project, which was designed by Irish-headquartered PM Group, with engineering services provided by Dornan Engineering Ireland & it involves a major fit-out at the existing Janssen Biologics
  • Peter McVerry Housing Trust

    The Construction Industry Federation (CIF), its members, and supporters have joined forces with the Peter McVerry Trust to refurbish 12 homes for the homeless in time for Christmas. The Sisk Group supplied and installed 12 kitchens, dining room units / furniture and associated fittings. The project saw extensive internal renovations of the properties.
  • SISK achieve ISO 50001 Accreditation

    John Sisk & Son has become one of the first Ireland & UK Construction Companies to achieve ISO 50001 accreditation, which is designed to implement, establish and maintain a continuous standard of energy reduction. This certification encompasses all the company’s offices, fleet, workshops and construction sites within its Irish & UK business units.
  • Stephen Bowcott appointed Managing Director

    SISK Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Bowcott as Managing Director of John Sisk & Son, the Group’s construction business.  He will take up the appointment on 1st September 2015.   With 40 years of experience, most recently with Kier Group plc,  Stephen Bowcott brings a strong track record of success in the senior leadership of major construction organisations.  
  • New Luas Cross City Scheme begins

    Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Pascal Donohoe TD, visited primary schools Christ the King Boys National School and Gaelscoil Bharra in Cabra recently to educate children on site safety as construction on the Cross City Light Rail Scheme, linking the Red and Green Luas lines, gets underway.
